Max Pacioretty Ends Comeback With Another Injury
2 years agoCarolina Hurricanes left wing Max Pacioretty suffered yet another injury on Thursday against Minnesota and it could be a very bad one this time around. The veteran scorer was back in action after missing two games with a lower-body injury and he was almost done with the night in a 5-2 victory when disaster struck. With 20 seconds to go, Pacioretty suffered a non-contact injury when he was trying to make a play behind Minnesota's goal. He fell down to the ice and put his right leg up in the air. Pacioretty needed assistance to get off the ice and head coach Rod Brind'Amour said after the game that the injury "doesn't look good". The 34-year-old had Achilles surgery on the same leg during the offseason. Pacioretty's absence is set to lift Teuvo Teravainen back to the top line.
