Max Kepler Drives In Three, Swipes Base On Sunday
4 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Max Kepler collected three RBI and a stolen base in Sunday's 8-2 win over Milwaukee. Kepler drove in one run on an infield single in the first inning, then plated two runs with another base hit in the sixth. He also swiped his first base of the season. Kepler labored through a tough spring that saw him bat .070, though he told Twins' beat reporters that he was using the spring to- unsuccessfully, it turns out- mess around with his approach and mechanics at the plate, but that he's back to his usual tactics. He has four hits and four RBI heading into a three-game set against the Tigers. The first two games of the series on Monday and Tuesday feature right-handed pitchers for Detroit, so Kepler should be in the lineup for those contests but will likely sit for the third game against southpaw Matthew Boyd.
