Max Kepler Activated Off Injured List, Starting In Right Field
Max Kepler (hamstring) has been activated off the injured list and is starting in right field Friday against the Texas Rangers, per MLB.com's Do-Hyoung Park. Kepler has been sidelined since May 29 with a left hamstring strain. He participated in three rehab games with the Triple-A St. Paul Saints before getting the call from the Twins. Kepler labored through a tough month of April- he had no homers heading into May- before going yard five times and swiping a pair of bases in May to go along with a .773 OPS before he was injured. The Twins sent Gilberto Celestino back down to the minors in a corresponding move.
