3 years agoDespite possessing an ideal statistical profile for TPC River Highlands, Max Homa seems to be flying under the radar this week. While he does not boast a strong history at this event, Homa is a much better player now than he was in years past. The two-time PGA Tour winner is in the midst of a career season with eight top-25 finishes, five top-10 finishes and a win at the Genesis Invitational in 2021. There is no reason why Homa cannot continue his strong play this week. The University of California product ranks seventh in opportunities gained and 11th in birdies or better gained over his last 36 rounds. There is a strong correlation between those who have played well at Riviera and those who have played well at TPC River Highlands, and Homa has won at Riviera earlier this year. The California native makes a lot of sense this week.--Andy Lack
