2 years agoAtlanta Braves starting pitcher Max Fried (hamstring) will require a trip to the injured list, according to manager Brian Snitker. The left-hander suffered a left hamstring strain during Thursday's contest. It sounds like the team plans to wait until Fried's next scheduled start before officially placing him on the injured list. Bryce Elder or Ian Anderson will likely be asked to take the mound in his place. The Braves will likely wait until closer to Fried's scheduled start before making the decision. It's also worth noting that Kyle Wright is eligible to return in mid-April, which could ease the loss of Fried.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
