Max Fried Leaves Game Early Tuesday
6 years agoAtlanta Braves starting pitcher Max Fried left his start against the Dodgers in the second inning on Tuesday after being hit in the left hand by a line drive from outfielder Alex Verdugo. X-rays turned out to be negative, and he's considered day-to-day with a left hand contusion. Fried allowed three earned runs in the first inning and was charged with another run in the second inning. The young left-hander has been excellent for the Braves in his seven starts, and the four runs allowed raises his ERA to just 2.97 on the season. Fried might have to miss a start, but it looks like he'll avoid a trip to the injured list. He should be owned in all fantasy leagues at this point.
