Max Fried Leaves Game Early Tuesday
Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Max Fried left his start against the Dodgers in the second inning on Tuesday after being hit in the left hand by a line drive from outfielder Alex Verdugo. X-rays turned out to be negative, and he's considered day-to-day with a left hand contusion. Fried allowed three earned runs in the first inning and was charged with another run in the second inning. The young left-hander has been excellent for the Braves in his seven starts, and the four runs allowed raises his ERA to just 2.97 on the season. Fried might have to miss a start, but it looks like he'll avoid a trip to the injured list. He should be owned in all fantasy leagues at this point.
