Matthew Stafford Puts Up Solid Effort In Lions Loss
5 years agoDetroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford put up a very solid effort Sunday in a thrilling game against the Kansas City Chiefs. The Lions quarterback threw for 291 yards and three touchdowns, connecting with Kenny Golladay twice and T.J. Hockenson once for scores on the day, but it was ultimately not enough to get passed a high-powered Chiefs offense. Lions running back Kerryon Johnson was able to get going on the ground, totaling 125 yards on 26 touches, but Stafford still rewarded fantasy owners who started him. The Lions have a bye in Week 5 and then have a tough matchup against the Packers at Lambeau Field in Week 6. Stafford can be considered a QB2 in that matchup.
