Matthew Stafford Ends 24-Game Touchdown Streak
2 years agoLos Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford completed 18-of-25 passes for 249 yards in the Rams' 20-12 victory over the Arizona Cardinals. It was Stafford's first game without an interception in the past five. More disappointingly for Stafford fantasy owners, the 34-year-old also snapped a 24-game streak of throwing touchdown passes. The Rams were content to play with a slow pace after taking an early 13-0 lead. They ran 36 fewer plays than the Cardinals and ran the ball on 40% of their plays, higher than their season average. The Rams advance to 2-1. Their offense is finding its rhythm. What is good for the Rams isn't good for Stafford starters. They have yet to get into a shootout to pad Sta(t)fford's line.
