Matthew Stafford Benefits From Big Plays
2 years agoLos Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford completed 28-of-42 passes for 308 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in the Rams' 22-10 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. The 34-year-old failed to lead the Rams on sustained drives. Stafford amassed 128 of his yards on just two big plays: a nicely-thrown deep ball to Tutu Atwell for 54 yards and a short pass Cooper Kupp took 75 yards to the house. Kupp's yards after the catch helped push Stafford to his first 300-yard game of the season in what was his third game with over 40 passing attempts. He was also sacked five times and heavily pressured, a theme for the Rams with their new-look offensive line. Rams coach Sean McVay tried some trickery but couldn't get anything going. Until this offense fixes some things, Stafford is not a starting fantasy QB.
