Matthew Boyd Will Visit Dr. Neal ElAttrache
3 years agoDetroit Tigers starting pitcher Matthew Boyd (forearm) will visit Dr. Neal ElAttrache on either Thursday or Friday, according to Cody Stavenhagen of The Athletic. Stavenhagen adds that there is no update on Boyd's injury, but it's never a good sign when a pitcher is seen by Dr. ElAttrache. Boyd is 3-6 this year with a 3.44 ERA and an 18.9 percent strikeout rate over 70 2/3 innings of work. Nothing is set in stone yet, but managers should start preparing for the possibility that Boyd could be done for the season.
