Matt Murray Misses Practice With An Illness
Ottawa Senators goaltender Matt Murray (illness) missed practice on Tuesday and is questionable for the team's season opener on Thursday against Toronto. Luckily, he's out with a non-COVID-related illness, so the two-time Stanley Cup champ shouldn't miss a lot of time. Murray struggled for large parts last season, but he had a strong finish to the campaign and will aim to produce a big bounce-back year. He posted a 10-13-1 record in 2020-21 with a 3.38 goals-against average, a .893 save percentage and two shutouts. Anton Forsberg is set to take on the Leafs if Murray isn't ready to go on Thursday.
