Matt Moore Converts His Second Save On Thursday
2 years agoTexas Rangers reliever Matt Moore closed out the team's 2-0 victory over the Los Angeles Angels on Thursday to earn his second save of the season. He pitched a scoreless ninth inning, allowing one hit and no walks. The team's primary closer right now, Brett Martin, pitched on both Tuesday and Wednesday so he was likely unavailable for Thursday's contest. Martin has struggled a bit lately, allowing a total of five earned runs across his last three outings. Moore, meanwhile, has pitched to a minuscule 0.75 ERA across the month of July. One more rough outing from Martin could lead to a change in the ninth inning for Texas, but for now Martin should still be considered the top arm to roster for fantasy purposes.
