Matt Manning Allows Two Runs Over Five Innings In Debut

Detroit Tigers starting pitcher Matt Manning had a decent MLB debut against the Los Angeles Angels on Thursday. He pitched five innings and allowed four hits, two walks and two earned runs while striking out three. The damage was certainly minimal in the game, but the low strikeouts were disappointing and it was unfortunate - albeit not too surprising - that he was pulled after just 77 pitches. Manning is worth a speculative add in all fantasy formats as he has a significant amount of upside. He'll likely make his next start on Wednesday against the St. Louis Cardinals.
