Matt Kemp Batting Third, Kyle Farmer Draws Another Start
7 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers outfielder Matt Kemp is back to hitting third in the lineup, while Kyle Farmer will start again at third base and bat eighth. Kemp, after Yasmani Grandal, has been the team's best hitter thus far. In the last seven days, he's gone 8-for-20 with two home runs and five RBI. He returned to the Dodgers, the team where he started his career, in an offseason contract swap with the Braves and wasn't expected to start. Instead, he's been in the midst of a few rallies and is showing mixed league relevance. Farmer is sporting an on-base percentage of .368 in limited opportunities. He was a former shortstop and can play anywhere (including catcher), so the Dodgers will find a place for him if he continues to impress. He's worth monitoring in deep leagues but nothing more for now.
