Matt Harvey Turns In Decent Start Monday
4 years agoBaltimore Orioles pitcher Matt Harvey showed some positive signs in Monday's 12-3 win over the Pirates, allowing two runs on five hits and no walks with four strikeouts over four innings pitched. Harvey allowed a home run to Ke'Bryan Hayes in the first inning, but was able to get things relatively under control for the remainder of his start. Per manager Brandon Hyde, "I thought Matt threw the ball great", with his fastball touching 96 MPH. Harvey's performance was overall encouraging, but his role with the team is still undefined and he owns a 7.50 ERA this spring. While it would be a fun story to see the Dark Knight return to form for fantasy players, he currently has not shown that he can contribute from a fantasy perspective.
