Matt Duffy Scores Twice Thursday Versus Toronto
6 years agoTampa Bay Rays third baseman Matt Duffy scored twice Thursday versus the Blue Jays. He would go 2-for-5 and score twice in the game. He has hits in nine of his past ten games, including going 4-for-10 with three runs scored and two driven in over the past two games. He is now batting .300 for the season. The Rays have not had a qualified hitter finish with a .300 batting average in several years. He lacks power (four homers) while not compensating with a correspondingly high steal total (12 so far). In the end, Duffy only offers strong assistance in one of the five traditional fantasy categories which makes it hard to suggest him outside of deep formats.
