Matt Duffy Drives In Two Sunday Versus The Astros
6 years agoTampa Bay Rays third baseman Matt Duffy was one of the few offensive stars in a pitcher's duel Sunday versus Houston. Snell and Morton were really good but Duffy cashed in when Morton left one in the seventh by singling off the resulting reliever to drive in two. Duffy is now batting .321 on the season. In his last healthy season in 2015, he batted .295 with 12 home runs and 12 stolen bases. Duffy's floor is fairly solid as long as he is healthy. Duffy was only 27 years old as the 2018 season started, so there is upside plus he is already on pace to match the 2015 stolen base total. He should be owned in deeper leagues, especially in AL-only formats.
