2 years agoToronto Blue Jays third baseman Matt Chapman is currently dealing with a viral illness, hence why he was scratched from Thursday's lineup. There's no word on how much time the former Gold Glover will need, but he likely won't be out for too long. Chapman is enjoying a hot start to his second campaign in Toronto, slashing .489/.538/.851 with three home runs, 10 runs, 15 RBI, and one stolen base across 12 contests. He obviously can't keep those numbers up throughout the whole year, but he has a chance to improve on his 2022 season when he hit .229, albeit with 27 bombs.--Spencer Seguin
