Matt Brash To Be Limited To 80-90 Pitches In Debut
3 years agoSeattle Mariners starting pitcher Matt Brash is set to make his MLB debut on Tuesday against the Chicago White Sox. Prior to the game, Mariners manager Scott Servais stated that Brash would have a pitch limit of around 80-90 pitches. This seems like promising news from the skipper as we've seen a number of starting pitchers held to under 80 pitches in their first starts of 2022. If Brash is in a groove in his debut, he may be trusted to go deep into the game. The 23-year-old had a remarkable spring, leading to his inclusion in the team's rotation to start the year. He pitched 9.1 innings in Spring Training and allowed three hits, two walks and one earned run while striking out 12.
