Mason Miller Looks Good In Rehab Outing
1 year agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher Mason Miller (elbow) was solid in his third rehab start on Thursday, working his way up to 45 pitches over three innings for Triple-A Las Vegas. Miller didn't allow a run, gave up three hits, and had five strikeouts to one walk. He also touched 100 mph seven times according to MLB Pipeline, something that should give his dynasty owners a lot of hope. The 25-year-old is recovering from a sprained right elbow that put him on the 60-day IL in May, and will likely need another rehab start to build up his pitch count. Even when he gets to the majors, he is unlikely to work deep into games as the A's aren't pushing for anything at this point in the season.
