Mason Miller Earns First Save Of Season Tuesday
7 months agoOakland Athletics relief pitcher Mason Miller picked up his first save of the season in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Rangers. Miller came in to pitch the bottom of the ninth inning up by one and turned in a 1-2-3- outing with two strikeouts. The electric 25-year-old has looked solid out of the bullpen this season with a 3.00 ERA, 10 strikeouts, and three walks in six innings pitched. The A's likely will not offer a ton of save opportunities, but Miller has the best stuff in the team's bullpen and will hopefully see plenty of high-leverage situations throughout the season. His high strikeout upside and ability to pitch multiple innings should provide fantasy value despite limited save opportunities.
