Masataka Yoshida Back In The Starting Lineup Thursday
Masataka Yoshida (forearm) will return to the starting lineup Thursday versus the Miami Marlins. Yoshida has not started since June 25 due to a forearm issue, but he did make a pinch-hitting appearance on Wednesday night. The American League Rookie of the Year candidate has made a seamless transition to North American baseball, hitting .297 with eight homers, three stolen bases, and an .836 OPS across 70 appearances on the campaign. The lefty-swinging outfielder will serve as the club's designated hitter on Thursday, hitting sixth against Marlins left-hander Jesus Luzardo.
