Masahiro Tanaka Progressing, Set To Throw Bullpen Sunday
6 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher Masahiro Tanaka (hamstrings) is slowly making progress in his recovery. The right-hander went on the disabled list on June 9 after exiting his start early against the New York Mets on June 8. His recovery has been slow but he threw on flat ground on June 20, and is officially scheduled to throw a bullpen session on Sunday. Before his injury, Tanaka had pitched to a 7-2 record, but his ERA stood at an unseemly 4.58. Fantasy owners have to hope that his recovery continues smoothly and that he ultimately returns to better form.
