Carolina Hurricanes forward Martin Necas has agreed to a two-year, $13 million deal with the team. Necas was a restricted free agent and has been linked with a move elsewhere, but the Hurricanes eventually managed to get him under a new contract. After leading the team in scoring during the 2022-23 campaign, Necas took a step back last season but still managed a respectable 53 points (24 goals, 29 assists) across 77 outings. He boasts 97 goals and 243 points in 362 career games. The Czech forward has been a good fit in Raleigh and, at 25 years of age, is still far from a finished article.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
