Marshon Lattimore, Saints Agree To Five-Year Extension
3 years agoThe New Orleans Saints and cornerback Marshon Lattimore agreed to a five-year, $97.6 million contract extension on Sunday that could be worth up to $100 million ($68.3 million in guarantees), according to sources. The deal includes the largest full guarantee at signing for a cornerback in NFL history. Lattimore helped the Saints win their 2021 season opener in convincing fashion by beating the Green Bay Packers 38-3. The 25-year-old had two tackles (one solo) in the game, while also defending a pass. Lattimore is easily the Saints top cornerback across from Desmond Trufant. After shutting down MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers this week, the Saints defense will be taken seriously in fantasy and will be worth a look as a starting option in Week 2 against the Carolina Panthers.
