6 years agoSan Francisco 49ers wide receiver Marquise Goodwin (hamstring, quadriceps) and cornerback Jimmie Ward (hamstring) are both inactive for Week 5 against the Cardinals. Goodwin was a game-time decision but obviously didn't show the team enough to start him. So far he's been a bust after being a preseason breakout candidate. His ceiling and floor are much lower for the remainder of the season now that quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo (knee) is out for the year. With Goodwin and Dante Pettis out, Pierre Garcon and Trent Taylor should be the team's top receivers, while tight end George Kittle should also have an expanded role. San Fran's secondary is beatable with Ward injured, so Arizona's receivers could finally break out this year.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
