Marlon Mack Has Flex Appeal In Week 3
6 years agoHeading into Week 3, Indianapolis Colts running back Marlon Mack has some flex appeal. Last week, he was out-snapped by both rookies Jordan Wilkins and Nyheim Hines. Some of that was due to the team easing him back into things from his hamstring injury, while some of it was the rookies' effectiveness. This week, he could see more snaps than both of them and could have a better game script. The Philadelphia Eagles are getting quarterback Carson Wentz (knee) back from injury, which should boost their offense. The Colts could be playing from behind, which would force them to throw more. Mack is a better pass-catcher than Wilkins, and he should put that skill to use this week with plenty of targets from Andrew Luck. Still, Mack is a risky RB3/flex choice. Avoid this backfield if you can.
