Marlins Place Trevor Rogers On 15-Day Injured List
2 years agoThe Miami Marlins officially placed left-hander Trevor Rogers (biceps) on the 15-day injured list on Friday with a left biceps strain. The move is retroactive to Thursday, April 20. The Marlins haven't announced a corresponding roster move, but pitcher Steven Okert is currently with the team in Cleveland. Rogers dealt with tightness in his left arm during his start on Wednesday against the San Francisco Giants and was pulled early. It remains to be seen if the 25-year-old southpaw will be ready to go in a couple weeks when he's eligible to return from the IL. It's also unclear as to who will fill Rogers' rotation spot in Miami. Before his injury, Rogers had a 4.00 ERA (4.17 FIP), 1.22 WHIP, six walks and 19 strikeouts in 18 innings over his four starts.
