6 years agoThe Miami Marlins optioned shortstop J.T. Riddle to Triple-A New Orleans on Tuesday and recalled outfielder Isaac Galloway and pitcher Jarlin Garcia in corresponding moves. Riddle had only five hits in his first 32 at-bats (.156) with two homers and three RBI. Miguel Rojas figures to be the team's everyday starter at the 6 going forward. Galloway, who is in the starting lineup on Tuesday, hit just .203/.301/.391 with three homers and seven RBI in 43 games in his first taste of the majors last season. He'll factor into playing time in the outfield with Rosell Herrera, but he's nothing more than a dart throw in NL-only affairs.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
