Marcus Stroman Takes Game One Loss Monday
3 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Marcus Stroman only allowed two runs on eight hits and a walk in five innings Monday, but that was still too much damage to avoid taking the loss in the first game of a doubleheader against the Atlanta Braves. He struck out four batters, and his record dropped to 7-9 for the year. Stroman has been consistently excellent all season, with a current streak of 13 starts without allowing more than three earned runs. His only shortcoming is his limited strikeout rate, with 97 in 116 1/3 innings, but fantasy managers can confidently start him on a weekly basis regardless.
