Marcus Semien Goes Deep In Win Over The Pirates
1 year agoTexas Rangers second baseman Marcus Semien went 1-for-5 with a solo home run and a strikeout in a 3-2 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates on Wednesday. Semien opened up the scoring with a 372-foot home run to the left field off Johan Oviedo in the top of the first inning. It was his only hit of the ball game but it proved to be the difference maker in a one-run contest. For the season, the 32-year-old second baseman is slashing .299/.373/.498 with eight home runs, 40 RBI, and seven stolen bases over 201 at-bats. He's nearly halfway to his 2022 RBI total (83) in just 49 games so far this season.
