5 years agoNew York Jets safety Marcus Maye's days may be numbered with the team after they selected Ashtyn Davis with the 68th overall pick in this year's draft, according to ESPN New York's Rich Cimini. Davis' arrival raises questions about the long-term future of Maye, the team's second-round pick in 2017 who is entering the final year of his contract. He has been a solid player other than when he was hurt in 2018, but the Jets are getting ready to give a bunch of money to safety Jamal Adams. Gang Green isn't shopping Maye at the moment, but it wouldn't be a surprise if they moved him at the trade deadline midseason.
