Manuel Margot Suffers Bone Bruise In Winter Ball
6 years agoSan Diego Padres outfielder Manuel Margot (foot) suffered a bone bruise in his left foot after fouling a ball off his foot in the Dominican Republic winter league last month and will probably be shut down for the rest of the winter. This injury is unlikely to impact the start of spring training for Margot. The 24-year-old outfielder was a disappointment in 2018, hitting .245/.292/.384 with only eight home runs, 51 RBI, 50 runs scored and 11 stolen bases in 141 games for the Friars. He should enter next year as the starting center fielder again, but he'll have to produce to continue seeing everyday playing time.
