Manuel Margot Dealing With Injured Left Hamstring
3 years agoTampa Rays outfielder Manuel Margot (hamstring) was removed from Monday's 9-8 win over Cleveland with a left hamstring injury. He sustained the injury while beating out an infield single in the ninth inning. "Not sure on the severity, but Margot is not the type of guy to come out of the game," said manager Kevin Cash. The 26-year-old went 4-for-4 with two RBI before exiting. He is considered day-to-day. Tuesday's contest between the Rays and Indians has been postponed due to Tropical Storm Elsa, Margot will get an extra day of rest. Brett Phillips would see an uptick in playing if Margot is forced to miss any games. Phillips is mainly an option for deep-league formats due to his ability to rack up stolen bases. The 27-year-old has swiped 11 bags over 65 games this season.
