Manny Machado Cranks Two Homers On Saturday
2 years agoSan Diego Padres third baseman Manny Machado cranked two home runs in Saturday's 16-11 win over the San Francisco Giants in Mexico City. Machado went 3-for-4 and collected three RBI along with two walks. The Friars hit six home runs in Saturday's slugfest and Machado contributed heavily to the win. After a shaky start to the season, the 30-year-old is starting to see success at the plate. He improved his average to .245 after Saturday's two-homer game and owns a .695 OPS. Over the past seven games, the Florida native displays a .259/.333/.667 slash line with three homers and 4 RBI. It's a small sample size to label it as a hot streak, but it's definitely a step in the right direction.
