7 years agoTampa Bay Rays outfielder Mallex Smith continued his speedster role Friday versus the Angels. He would score a run and steal his tenth base of the season. Smith even added his tenth RBI as well. He may have very little power but Smith is batting .315 in 2018. Smith is a speedster who is batting well. Smith is not a major asset in shallow leagues except as someone to rotate in if you need a fighting chance of a steal over the weekend to win a weekly head-to-head matchup. His value going up very quickly as your league gets deeper and/or move to a 5-OF setup.--Jamie Mellor
