6 years agoTampa Bay Rays outfielder Mallex Smith had a homer taken away by review Saturday versus the Mariners. After review, they changed it to a triple, though he would come around to score anyway. For the game, he went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI. Smith may have very little power, but Smith is batting .281 with 11 steals in 2018. Smith is a speedster who is batting well. Of some concern is the fact that it has been a few weeks since he last stole a base. Smith is not a major asset in shallow leagues, except as someone to rotate in if you need a fighting chance of a steal over the weekend to win a weekly head-to-head matchup.--Jamie Mellor
