6 years agoTampa Bay Rays outfielder Mallex Smith drove in two runs Wednesday versus Kansas City. He would drive in two (including the eventual game-winner) and scored once. Smith was involved in the last three runs for the Rays in the 6-3 victory. The RBI were a rare occurrence as even with the two Wednesday, he only has 31 on the season. Smith's value is in his speed which is best shown for fantasy owners in his 26 steals that sits third in the American League. Unlikely so other later round speedsters, Smith also gives you a positive value with a .304 batting average. He may not be a fantasy stud in shallower leagues but there are a lot of leagues where he is quite valuable.--Jamie Mellor
