3 years agoDallas Cowboys wide receiver Malik Turner scored two touchdowns in a Week 9 loss to the Denver Broncos. Turner was targeted seven times, catching five passes for 33 yards and both of the Cowboys scores in a 30-16 loss. Turner came into the game with zero catches this season and only one touchdown in his whole career. He's been a special teamer for most of his career and will likely step back into that role in Week 10 against the Atlanta Falcons. Anyone who had Turner in any kind of fantasy lineup this week: please play the lottery as soon as possible and share your winnings with us.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller

3 years agoFree-agent wide receivers Marcus Johnson and Malik Turner are visiting the San Francisco 49ers on Tuesday, according to Aaron Wilson of Pro Football Network. Through seven games in 2021, Johnson hauled in nine of 19 targets for 160 yards. Meanwhile, Turner enjoyed some late-game action, too, catching 12 passes for 149 yards and three scores. It remains to be seen if either player signs with San Francisco, but even if they do, it would only be for a depth role. Deebo Samuel, Brandon Aiyuk, George Kittle and Jauan Jennings have asserted themselves as key pieces of the offense, which is already run-oriented.--Andersen Pickard - RotoBaller

3 years agoFree-agent wide receiver Malik Turner visited the Arizona Cardinals on Wednesday, according to ESPN's Field Yates. Turner, 26, spent the last two years of his career in Dallas following a two-year stint with the Seahawks. This past season, he caught just 12 passes for 149 yards and three touchdowns, mainly occupying a depth role that included some garbage-time action. However, he would presumably see an increase in targets if he signed with Arizona. The Cardinals top two receivers are DeAndre Hopkins and Rondale Moore, but Turner could certainly compete with Antoine Wesley for the No. 3 role on the depth chart.--Andersen Pickard - RotoBaller

3 years agoDallas Cowboys wide receiver Malik Turner caught three passes and scored a touchdown in an easy Week 16 win over the Washington Football Team. Turner, who got a chance to see more of the field with the Cowboys mostly resting their starters in the second half, was targeted three times and caught all three passes for a total of 82 yards. His touchdown came on a nine-yard pass from backup quarterback Cooper Rush near the end of the third quarter. Turner has shown some explosiveness when given the chance to play, but he remains fifth at best on the Cowboys wide receiver depth chart.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller

3 years agoDallas Cowboys wide receiver Malik Turner caught his lone target in a Week 13 win over the New Orleans Saints on Thursday Night Football. Turner's catch went for a 10 yard gain and gives him eight catches for 61 yards on the season. Turner is mostly a special teamer but with Amari Cooper (COVID-19) only playing on 35% of the Cowboys snaps and Cedrick Wilson (ankle) out, Turner saw a little more run on offense. He's not a fantasy option even in the deepest formats.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
