New Jersey Devils goaltender Mackenzie Blackwood won't dress for Thursday's matchup against the Blues after taking a shot off the hand during Wednesday's morning skate in Detroit. He's been held out of action as a precaution, so it's possible that Blackwood will be back in action by the weekend. Akira Schmid has been summed from the minors to fill in for Blackwood, although it's currently unclear if it's going to be him or Vitek Vanecek facing St. Louis. The latter would be playing for a second night in a row after beating the Red Wings 5-1 with 32 saves on Wednesday.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
