Mack Hollins Sent to Injured Reserve
6 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles wide receiver Mack Hollins was placed on injured reserve due to a groin injury. Hollins was slated for a much bigger role in his sophomore season, but he needs more time to recover from sports hernia surgery. He's a candidate to return in the second half of the season, but he certainly doesn't have the upside to be worth leaving in a bench spot. Owners with an IR designation can stash him there, but he can be dropped otherwise. His absence means fellow second-year wide receiver Shelton Gibson may end up playing a larger role than expected. It's also a bump for Markus Wheaton.
