8 months agoMinnesota Twins second baseman/outfielder prospect Luke Keaschall extended his hit streak to nine games on Wednesday. The 21-year-old went 1-for-4 on the evening and provided the only offense his team with a three-run homer for Double-A Wichita. Keashall is a consensus Top-100 prospect and has enjoyed a breakthrough year in the Twins system. Keaschall played his first 44 games of the season for High-A Cedar Rapids before being promoted to Wichita, where he has not missed a beat. Between both levels, Keaschall has hit a combined .324 with 12 homers, 41 RBI and 21 stolen bases. He has rapidly been climbing the Twins system since making his debut in 2023 and should be of strong consideration in dynasty leagues.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller

2 months agoThe Minnesota Twins announced on Monday that infield prospect Luke Keaschall (elbow) and pitching prospect Andrew Morris will be at major-league spring training this year as non-roster invites. According to MLB Pipeline, Keaschall is the No. 61 overall prospect in baseball entering the 2025 season. The 22-year-old had Tommy John surgery last August but should be ready for the start of the 2025 campaign. The former second-rounder in 2023 out of Arizona State University will almost certainly start in the minors this year, but he's fully expected to make his major-league debut in 2025 after breaking out to the tune of a .303/.420/.483 slash line with a .903 OPS, 15 home runs, 48 RBI and 23 steals in 102 games with High-A Cedar Rapids and Double-A Wichita in 2024. Keaschall has the tools to be a multi-category contributor in fantasy sooner than later. Stash him in dynasty/keeper leagues.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

8 months agoMinnesota Twins second base/outfield prospect Luke Keaschall hit his eighth home run at Double-A Wichita on Wednesday and his 15th home run of the season. The Twins' No. 5 prospect raised his Double-A slash line to .286/.399/.447. The 21-year-old has eight homers, 27 RBI, and nine stolen bases in 57 games for Wichita this season. With 55 grades for his hit tool and his speed, the power is a welcome sign for the young prospect this season as he continues to develop. The Twins' second-round pick in 2023 offers some real upside although he could be a few years away from debuting for Minnesota.--Brian Buckey - RotoBaller

9 months agoMinnesota Twins second base/outfield prospect Luke Keaschall was very productive across two levels of the minor leagues in the first half of the season. Keaschall began the campaign by getting his first extended look at High-A ball and posted an excellent .335/.457/.544 slash line with seven home runs, 21 RBI, 14 stolen bases, and a 30:29 BB:K ratio. He then earned a promotion to Double-A Wichita at the end of May. There he posted a stellar .318/.418/.468 slash line across 40 games. He then earned a spot in the Futures Game after fellow Twin prospect Brooks Lee earned a promotion to the big leagues. Keaschall could reach the majors as soon as next season and has yet to slow down in the minor leagues.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller

9 months agoAfter infielder Brooks Lee recent promotion to the big leagues, Minnesota Twins second baseman/outfielder Luke Keaschall will replace Lee in the 2024 All-Star Futures Game. Keaschall is the No. 94 prospect MLB Pipeline has been having a strong season between High-A Cedar Rapids and Double-A Wichita. For the year, the 21-year-old has hit a combined .314 with 21 doubles, nine homers, 34 RBI and 19 stolen bases. Keaschall has a strong eye at the plate, which leads to strong contact skills and that should help him continue to climb the ladder in the Twins system. He is still a few seasons away from a potential big-league debut, but managers in dynasty leagues should start following the young budding star before it is too late.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
