Los Angeles Angels infielder Luis Rengifo (wrist) is set to miss the rest of the regular season after undergoing wrist surgery on Tuesday. This is a shame considering Rengifo was in the middle of a breakout campaign. He was batting .300 with six home runs and a career-high 24 stolen bases in 78 games. However, it's a lost season for the Halos and Rengifo continued to be bothered by a lingering wrist issue. It's best for him to get the issue resolved and come out stronger next season. Fellow infielder Anthony Rendon (back) has been activated from the 10-day injured list on Tuesday. He figures to see increased playing time with Rengifo out of the picture.--Andy Webb
