Luis Rengifo Does Baseball Activities On Friday
4 months agoLos Angeles Angels infielder Luis Rengifo (wrist) took grounders, threw and hit off a tee on Friday. Rengifo is starting to ramp up his baseball activities after initially being placed on the 10-day injured list on July 5 with right-wrist inflammation. If the 27-year-old can skip a minor-league rehab assignment, he should have a good shot at returning to the big-league lineup before the end of July. Rengifo doesn't have a ton of power for the lowly Halos, but he's hitting .315 (79-for-251) with 25 RBI, 22 stolen bases and 36 runs scored and deserves to be stashed in all fantasy formats. When healthy, the Venezuelan infielder should play regularly at the keystone for the Angels. When Rengifo returns from the IL, the struggling Brandon Drury will essentially become a utility infielder in Anaheim.
