5 years agoThe Baltimore Orioles called up starting pitcher Luis Ortiz from Triple-A Norfolk in order to start against the Red Sox on Friday. Ortiz was 2-6 with a 7.01 ERA, 1.63 WHIP, 23 walks and 41 strikeouts in 52 2/3 innings over 11 starts for Norfolk this season, so fantasy owners should stay far away from the 23-year-old in what is likely to just be a spot start for the struggling Orioles rotation.
