Luis Garcia Throws Seven Strong Innings In No-Decision
3 years agoHouston Astros starting pitcher Luis Garcia allowed one run on seven hits and two walks while striking out eight across seven innings during Friday's 2-1 win over the White Sox. He did not factor into the decision. The 24-year-old yielded an RBI single to first baseman Jose Abreu in the first inning. He cruised the rest of the game by keeping the White Sox off the scoreboard. Garcia has been lights-out in June, owning a 3-1 record along with a 2.08 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and a 33:7 K:BB across 30 1/3 innings. He should be rostered in all league formats. The Astros pitcher draws a favorable matchup against the Tigers next week.
