Luis Cessa Tosses Two Scoreless Innings In Return
6 years agoOut since late April with a left oblique strain, right-hander Luis Cessa was activated by the New York Yankees this week and made his return Friday night in Tampa Bay against the Rays. The 26-year-old was added to the major league roster in place of A.J. Cole, who went out with an injury of his own. On Friday night, Cessa tossed two scoreless innings, allowing only two walks and no hits while striking out two. While it must feel great for him to be back with the big league club, he doesn’t appear in line for any major pitching spots barring any injuries. Therefore, he should remain a non-entity in fantasy baseball.
