Luis Cessa Optioned To Triple-A
7 years agoThe battle for bullpen spots on the New York Yankees lost a competitor today after the club optioned Luis Cessa to the Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders. The 25-year-old has made multiple appearances for the club the past two seasons, both as starter and reliever. This spring he made four appearances, posting a 2-0 record with a 6.75 ERA. One spot remains open in the Yankees’ bullpen, with Jonathan Holder and Domingo German the last remaining competitors. Holder, 24, has made seven appearances this spring, posting a 1.80 ERA. German, meanwhile, has made six appearances, starting two games and closing one, posting a 2.30 ERA.
