6 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher Luis Cessa has been optioned to Triple-A on Thursday. The move comes in anticipation of Thursday's activation of reliever Zach Britton, as well as recently-acquired starter J.A. Happ's availability on Friday. For the time being though, outfielder Shane Robinson has been recalled to take Cessa's roster spot. Expect Robinson to be subsequently optioned to make room for Happ on Friday. Cessa has pitched well in spot starts for the Yankees this season. It's doubtful that Robinson gets playing time even though he's hit .333 in five plate appearances this season, as these moves are all being made in anticipation of Happ donning pinstripes.--Mauricio Castillo
