2 years agoThe Cincinnati Reds placed pitcher Luis Cessa (back) on the 15-day injured list with a muscle strain in his back on Thursday. He exited Game 1 of Thursday's doubleheader against the Pittsburgh Pirates with a back injury. The 30-year-old walked one batter over one-third of an inning before being removed from Thursday's contest. Cincinnati's bullpen continues to be ravaged by injuries, and Cessa joins a lengthy list of Reds relievers on the injured list. He is expected to be out until after the All-Star break. Cessa has struggled this season, posting a 6.68 ERA, 1.65 WHIP and 25 strikeouts across 31 innings in 2022.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
